Overview

Waterloo station is the single largest transport hub in the universe. So large in fact, that you sometimes need to get a connecting train service just to reach your platform.

Also a tube station on the Northern and Jubilee Lines.

Whether you merely want a bus to the shops, or demand to go to France(!), you will find the means to do it at Waterloo. Just don't get on the wrong one by mistake.

The name is based on the fact that the station was opened in 1896 by Lord Nelson and Bjorn from Abba.

Things to do near Waterloo

There are a fine array of dark alleys and pubs surrounding Waterloo station, along with the impressive Muster Station B.

For drinks, head for the Arch 1 bar just outside the main exit, which sells ludicrous quantities of Becks.

Friki Addendum

You can't go to France from here any more. For that, you'll now need King's Cross St. Pancras. Progress: the bane of the encyclopedia.
