Wembley

Eventually redeemed its status as the national football stadium of England.

While it is not in doubt that Wembley currently looks very impressive with its sweeping sides and ayazing looking big arch thing, the look was rather spoiled in recent years by the number of cranes sticking out from inside it, and the overwhelming stench of weed emanating from the bubbish workers.

Wembley was finished in early 2007, and has since collapsed three times.

Other Uses

The more generic word "Wembley" can refer to any project which falls behind schedule.

e.g. "We're supposed to be doing the whole Bakerloo Line, but its gone a bit Wembley."
