Unlike UNBSJ, UNB appears to be a full-sized major university, instead of a couple of high schools strung together beside the hospital. While the size, money and stature appear larger, this is actually a facade. The standard of education at UNB Fredericton is abyssmal when compared to SJ. This actually fills most of the staff and faculty with contempt and disgust.

Instead of realizing that UNB and UNBSJ are actually on the same team, they engage in childish infighting and competition, refusing to admit their respective program's advantages and disadvantages. The common practice of the MBA Program staff at UNB is to malign and chastise the SJ program, as they know it is incomparably more professional and competent, whereas their own program is a repetition of their own undergraduate business program.

Unfortunately for UNBSJ their finances are controlled by UNB, meaning that the better job SJ does, and the worse they make UNB look with less funds, ends up in their budgets being slashed further the following year.
