The head rule

The Head Rule is a gem of modern wisdom which advises you "not to eat anything bigger than your head". Eating something bigger than your head is scientifically proven to be bad for you, even if is just a massive salad.

This advice requires further clarification, as it does not stipulate whether the concept of 'big' is defined by length, breadth, girth, volume or mass. Friki would suggest a better piece of advice would be "not to eat anything (in one sitting) which you couldn't squash into your hollowed-out skull".

• David Coulthard has yet to find any food bigger than his head, so is one of the few people to have never fallen foul of the head-rule.
