The Sandwich Shop

Or 'Sandwich World', depending on which sign you believe.

Located on Gloucester Road, The Sandwich Shop is a purveyor of all that is good and honest in the world to the hard-pressed students of Imperial College.

Baguettes, sausage and chips, mouldy muffins and, above all, lots of margarine, are served with a smile by an array of Geoffskis. It is vitally important to remember which one took your order, as in the inevitable chaos of lunchtime at The Sandwich Shop you are liable to end up with someone else's bebby baguette if you get it wrong.

The Sandwich Shop is run by Mohammed Al Fayed, who, in a rare streak of generosity and a touching show of concern for the wellbeing of Imperial students, gives an apple on the house to each customer. So much money is taken at the Sandwich Shop each day that a small mint has been set up next door to provide all the necessary coinage.

The Sandwich Shop's most endearing feature, however, is that after 4pm the triangular sandwiches are half price! This means it is possible, nay common, for students to live on nothing but Sandwich Shop food for months at a time.
