The Prince Regent

Pub on Marylebone High Street in London. Accessible by walking for around 45 minutes from Baker Street tube station.

The interior is a confusing mix of oriental decor mixed with the stench of a thousand sweaty rugby fans. Seating is optional, and large groups of Butterfaces get first refusal, but Friki found it was possible to "enjoy" ten minutes of rugby-based action on the TV by standing in the walkway to the toilets and craning its neck slightly.

There is a high class opium lounge upstairs, but this tends to host pre-booked parties of guests and Friki couldn't pass itself off as a mate of "Dave".

Possible local drinking establishment for Noel Gallagher, which would rate it just ahead of The Morgan Arms in terms of celebrity punters.

The Drinks

The Prince Regent offers a litany of high quality continental lagers. And Stella.

Scores highly with Friki for having Früli on tap, along with an alternative fruity beer, possibly called Lindemans Frambotzen, though Friki is basing this on a Google search for "famous+Belgian+raspberry+beer". This raspberry-based alcopop-cum-lager comes in one of the gayest glasses Friki has ever drunk out of, and tastes like sin.

Friki Verdict

Friki awards The Prince Regent 3 Celtic Crosses out of 5, though this would have been higher if Friki had got a seat.
