The New Inn
From Frikipedia
Pub near St John's Wood. Giggle, guffaw.
Though the beer is nice, the clientele ruins everything.
As a former student, Friki often takes offence to non-former students bemoaning the poncey, twatty ways of the student. Friki would like to think it was neither of those things, but sadly 95% of The New Inn's customers are.
You know the type, public school, silver-spoon toffs with shocks of blond(e) hair, drinking bottles of beer because pint glasses are too good for them and all yakking about in a "Yah, yah, daddy bought a new house last week, yah, yah, landed gentry, yah" manner. All the men are called "Toby", "Henry" or "Olly" and all the women are called "Sophie" or something ending in "-etta" or "-ena". Worst of all, they parade their consequence-free student lifestyle by wearing those stupid-looking uni-spec hoodies proudly displaying their membership of the University of East Anglia or somewhere equally pointless, complete with their "hilarious" uni nickname etched on the chest of said top, usually something devoid of any redeeming feature.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
