The Coal Hole is the homoerotically tinged name of a bar on The Strand in London. It is frequented by members of the ITV news team, except Trevor McDonald, who can afford not to pretend to be friends with people.
The decor in the Coal Hole consists an odd series of tapestries depicting unicorns and evil looking rabbits.
Food is served at the discretion of the snotty nosed waitress nearest your table.
