The Alexandra
From Frikipedia
Pub near Clapham Common.
The Alexandra is right outside the most populous area of the "Clapham Triangle" on the Northern Line, hence gets horribly busy every evening as dozens of yuppies pile off the tube and race for the comforting bosom of alcohol to forget their soul-destroying day in "The City" where they made a hundred grand bonus for themselves, but at the cost of their self-respect.
Pints are relatively expensive, as is to be expected in Clapham, and the walls are decorated with a litany of old-fashioned road signs and bizarre pieces of medieval torture equipment, in a manner that suggests that nobody's really quite settled on an overall theme for the pub yet.
