Most understandable. 'Tis a big day south of the 49th parallel today...or so I've heard. I'll continue to try and update the hockey content of the page with a friendly dose of mistruths, inaccuracies, and, well, blatant nonsense, as has been customary. I salute you in your continuance with hosting the page. Even though we all have developed those pesky horrible things called "lives", friki must live on. -mtm

I figured there was a good reason. Unfortunately, since relocating to this side of the Atlantic last summer, there have been no more "Friki trips" (bar crawls) of London with Jarv / Monty, and he's been working like a mentalist on Patty. Hence no activity from our ends. However, now have the entire of NYC to Frick... We shall see how that goes... Anderton 06:59, 20 January 2009 (PST)

Tim - I have been on work stoppage, due to my salary demands not being met by the Company (hereby identified as "you"). I had expected that this labour action would result in swift recompense, however seeing as friki has not yet noticed my departure, I have decided to re-join due to the Company's acknowledgment that friki's inactivity is the users' own fault. I take that as some form of praise.

Or...more accurately, I've been f*cking ridiculously busy finishing this damn masters degree and lost the need to needlessly kill time. Take your pick.

what happened to the article count?

we're at 2,182 - you guys should be pushing for the big 2000!

-- As you've noticed, you can still find out the number of articles using the NUMBEROFARTICLES template, or by going to Special:Statistics (although what is a 'legimate content page' is up for debate...). I've taken these off the Main Page, because as we've recently discussed on various user talk pages, size isn't everything. :)
