"Now, the first thing I want to tell you is, this is not pyramid selling..."

The king of the toupee and new presenter of ITV's F1 coverage. Looks like the kind of smarmy salesman that uses his charm to stroll around a suburban housing development on a Saturday afternoon robbing grannies of their savings.

Used to present the BBC's golf coverage, which was perfect for him, as deep down, golf has no soul. It isn't even a sport, it's merely an eight hour chunk of footage consisting of a variety of badly dressed men standing on some grass somewhere.

Since starting on F1 the coverage has moved out of The Count's ramshackle studio and into the pit lane, which is ostensibly so that Rider can get "closer to the action", but in reality it just looks like he's just showing off. Also, it is a really badly concieved idea for live TV as, by and large, 70% of the weekend's coverage is drowned out by the sound of Honda mechanics constantly revving the engine of one of their cars to make sure it still works. Though mercifully, this often happens when Mark Blundell is speaking.

It is painfully evident that Rider is part of F1's mason-like inner circle, to the point that it often seems that you've stopped watching a sporting event and accidentally tuned into a propaganda video used by Bernie to rig Spanish elections.
