Shed

To be a real man, you need to own a shed. Because of this, nobody who lives in a flat is a true man. An allotment doesn't count. If you own an allotment, you have finally admitted that you are no longer alive inside.

The shed should contain the following extraneous items to get in your way every time you need to dig the lawnmower out:

• Random power tools.
• A hoe.
• A secret porn stash.
• A large pile of firewood. Owning a fireplace is not essential.
• Various DIY projects in different stages of non-completion.
• A broken kettle.

It should be noted that the shed must contain enough tools to actually fix a shed, but these tools must under no circumstances actually be used to fix the shed.

Despite the fact that the only thing in a shed that anybody ever uses is the lawnmower once every month, whenever you go to cut the grass, it always seems to have gravitated to the far corner of the shed again.

People who don't own a shed tend to compensate by having that drawer next to the cutlery drawer.
