Rent costs vary across England from a low of 6p per year (near Telford) up to as high as £25 per second in London.

Rent payments are usually taken care of by the landlord, who will usually turn up at uninvited times waving a rentbook in your face and asking why you haven't been answering the door before demanding that you pay hundreds of pounds for the priviledge of continuing to live in his rat infested hovel.
