Quiz machine. A totally non-alcoholic way of losing hundreds of pounds in a pub.
Varieties
- Old single-game machines
- New all-singing, all-dancing swanky machines:
- Completely pointless machines which are "play-for-fun" and offer no possibility of winning anything other than the opportunity to get your initials on a high-score table. These are most commonly found in other countries and really, really nasty pubs, such as those which close after lunch.
Warning: Some of the newer machines actually take bank notes as well as coins. These are evil.
