The Premiership was invented in 1992 by Sky Sports, and according to all their presenters, all football statistics were reset to zero at that point. No-one is allowed to mention what happened before then.
Originally called the Premier League, the name was changed to the Premiership in 1993. Though for next season, the name will be changed back to the Premier League. Cocking up this page of Friki entirely.
