Portland Place
From Frikipedia
Street near Regent's Park in London.
Essentially a really really soul-crushingly dull array of hugely expensive houses containing businesses and associations offering some of the most boring sightseeing opportunities in the whole world.
Dull Things on Portland Place
- The Institute of Physics HQ.
- The Royal Institute of British Architects.
- The Chinese Embassy.
- The BBC's radio headquarters.
- The Royal College of Radiologists.
- A crap looking, but probably very expensive, hotel.
- The Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD).
Friki Addendum
The one interesting thing about Portland Place when Friki walked down it was the mournful scene of a Tibetan monk engaged in a solo meditative protest against the Chinese government. The reverent silence that this holy man sat in moved Friki to tears. The fact that rather than sitting outside the Chinese Embassy, he was accidentally sitting outside the Insitiute of British Architects moved Friki to tears of laughter.
Friki is evil. Good luck, Mr Monk.
