Oxford Street is the centre of London's shopping district, and hence is always full of massive gangs of women pointing at shop displays. Only walk down Oxford Street if you are equipped with a snowplough, or alternatively use the weapon of choice of the gangs, masses of shopping bags.

Oxford Street is part of the Monopoly Pub Crawl, but it is best to cheat and go to The Blue Posts, which is located just off the shopping hell.

Oxford Street is accessible via the Oxford Circus stop on the Central Line, Bakerloo Line and the Victoria Line, though the circus aspect of this stop is a bit of a let down.

If you are low on mobile phone battery, don't agree to meet "by the exit" at Oxford Circus tube, as there are so many bloody exits to the place, you are likely to spend the day fending off rampant shoppers by yourself.
