The term used by online-gaming geeks, to describe a new player or a beginner. Often accompanied with word words: Fucking, Damn, Camper, or other words that make nerds feel big and strong. You will regularly here or see these expressions:

• Damn Noobs
• Fuckin Noobs (don't pronounce the G, it's cooler!)
• Camper Noobs
• Shitass Noobs
• Aim Better Noob, I ain't cheatin. (Again no G)

Common Misassociation with word "Knob"

Unexperienced online gamers, can mistake the word Noob, for a retarded attempt at spelling the word Knob. The piece of information is wiped out when a gaming nerd, probably a Hardcore Pornography addict will say or type:

"Knobbish Noob" - Which translated out of geek speak, means "You're a beginner, you're ruining my game - and exposing me as a cheat, you knobhead."
