Maida Vale is also home to an amazing cake shop, which claims to stock a "wide range of ice-cream". Sadly, they merely do the Neapolitan scam.
The cake on offer is, thankfully, far better. Although a slice of chocolate cake and a coffee from the shop will somehow become your most expensive round of the day, the snack will give you enough stomach lining to continue sweatily boozing well into the night.
