Just so shit scary.
Just so shit scary.

A semi-legendary children's TV show. Set in some kind of weird dungeon, budding contestants would attempt to guide one of their friends through a naff looking series of CGI levels. Their task was further complicated by the fact that their friend would have to wear an oversized helmet to obscure their view, presumably to prevent them from shattering their illusion when they realised they were just on a blue screen mounted in the ITV canteen.

Occasionally they would get to pick up stuff, like an amulet or a sword or something, but they'd never get to use it.

No matter how often the contestants would scream the helpful idiom "sidestep to the left" at their inevitably slow witted friend, teams rarely got past level two of the unspecified number of levels.

As the team's time ran out, a shit scary face appeared to the side of the screen. As their time ebbed away, the skin and muscle would slowly peel off until only a skull remained. It was truly xcellulite.

However, there is evidence that a team, assisted by Alan Boyd did indeed conquer Knightmare. They recieved something really rubbish for their troubles, like a scroll with their name on. Which ranks Knightmare pretty highly on the crap quiz show prize scale, alongside Fifteen To One's stupid little vase and the BSP.
