Used to delight by presenting the entire show from what appeared to be a small pod positioned a million miles above the San Siro, or wherever they were. And regularly made Paul Elliot's incomprehensible ramblings form some sort of point.

When he wasnt fronting live matches, he presented Gazetta Football Italia, which was a highlights package of the previous weeks action. He did the whole programme from a table infront of a qualint Italian cafe in Rome, sipping an espresso and inventing translations of the Gazzetta Dello Sport's headlines.
