Achieved a little piece of history in 2007 by becoming the first ever female football commentator on Match of the Day, though usually granted some sort of dead-rubber game involving Charlton.

Friki is still unsure as to whether she is actually any good. There is a fine line between deserved criticism and chauvanistic moaning when dealing with female pioneers. It will be bad enough writing the Women's Football page. However, having listened to her attempts at covering the Liverpool game yesterday, Friki has conclusively decided that she's actually not very good. Though Friki is sure that there are better women commentators out there somewhere.

In fairness, still better than Alistair Mann.
