If anyone claiming to be Canadian calls you a hosur, they are officially an American.

Friki has recently uncovered evidence that "funneling became popular in Canada in the late 1800's early 1900's(even during prohibition) where Canadians during this period of time used a drinking game where they would attach a funnel to a hose and see who could drink the most. This is also how the Canadians got the nickname from Americans as you hosers. Hoser referring to the drinking hose."
