Overview

A Formula One driver born in Canada. Son of a piano tuner and brother to a bald, no talent, baggy panted Jacques.

Career

Had a mini-career as third driver for McLaren before becoming a Ferrari pilot in 1977. Won his first Grand Prix at Montreal in 1978 before being killed trying to pass Jochen Mass in practice at Zolder in 1982.

Gilles is well known for his self belief, commonly known as delusions of grandeur; after smashing into the fence before the 5th lap GV would always try and continue racing, despite everything but his steering wheel and seat being destroyed. While this sort of activity would be welcomed in todays world of F1, racing back in his day was so damn good that this sort of 'spectacular' activity was frowned upon with much severity.

Legacy

Unfortunately, before his time on Earth was done, Gilles went and created a spawn. In a ritual soon after his sons birth, Gilles poured all the talent he had into Jacques' hair, hoping one day he too could be as succesful as he. Luckily for Jacques, he inherited his hair from his mothers side, and managed to win a world championship before it fell out.
