Gastropub

Like a normal pub, but employs a wanky chef. Therefore it serves tasty yet small and overpriced meals, with silly names and on oversized plates. Pubs that become gastropubs quickly alienate all their old customers, and attract a crowd with more money than sense.

Frikipedia advises against going to a gastropub unless someone else is paying.

In a recent trip to a gastropub in Clapham in London, Friki was served a red mullet that hadn't even been de-boned before being cooked. It was less of a meal and more of an autopsy.
