Football is the sport of kings, real men and Emile Heskey.

Every Saturday since the dawn of time, hundreds of thousands of men (and many enlightened women) gather together to watch their teams do battle.

The best football team ever is Liverpool FC, despite the fact that they haven't won the league title since 1990. But this was back in the days of proper football, before the advent of money, Sky TV and Sergei Rebrov. They have won lots of almost as important trophies recently, including the FA Cup, the Coca-Cola Cup, the Worthingtons Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. And one more important trophy, the Champions League.

People who don't like football are either rugby fans or dead.
