Exchange Bar and Grill (Rickmansworth)

Massive American-style bar cum restaurant cum hotel(!) without the style. Located opposite Rickmansworth tube station.

Despite it being pretty much the only drinking establishment for miles, it only opens the bar area from 5pm, and is usually desolate, save for a couple of dodgy hotel guests and two Friki researchers, off their tits on coffee.

Their lager is disappointing, but the cocktails are something to behold. Friki's "Ice Tea with Wings" combined the 32 shots that normally go into a Long Island Ice Tea with a can of Red Bull for total sensory immersion.

A round will cost just under a tenner (if you go for a cocktail) and your change takes the form of Fox's Glacier Mints.
