Del Posto

One of Mario Batali's poncier establishments, Del Posto was Friki's first proper celebratory meal after arriving in New York. Friki new it was gonna be expensive, so shouldn't grumble.

The food was:

• Impressive
• Tasty
• Small
• Salty
• Eaten in a drunken blur after visiting BXL Cafe and some other places for drinks beforehand...

Friki had the tasting menu. Before this, however, Friki was presented with some awesome bread, butter, and rosemary-flavoured lard (Friki should take this opportunity to confirm that despite having a New York location, it shall continue to use British-English spellings, because it can). Friki was scared of eating the lard.

Other things eaten included tasters of rabbit and lambs-neck pasta dishes, a veal escalope, and some kind of tasty pudding. Friki shouldn't drink so much before really expensive meals...
