Adornments
- A large doorman on the curtained entrance was completely unnecessary, due to the patio-style windows at the front of the pub/bar allowing people to bypass him completely.
- Atmospheric lighting and candles, made completely redundant by the fifteen flat-screen TVs showing various ESPN channels at high volume.
Redundancy, it seems, is the name of the game at Croxley Fails. That, and...
NO DAMN FRULI!
After a disappointing visit to a most Peculier Pub, Friki visited Croxley Fails in a final hope of procuring some Fruli/Frubee. Croxley Fails' surly barkeep informed Friki that "we don't have it any more", and sure enough the menu confirmed our fears: no Fruli for Friki. As for Peculier Pub, Croxley Fails' page on beermenus.com is out of date, as is the menu on their own website.
Friki is beginning to suspect that web-based promises of Fruli are nothing but a ploy by a small number of unscrupulous New York bar owners to lure unsuspecting Fruli-loving expats to their otherwise charmless venues.
