A corner shop. On a corner. Naturally.

Corner shops are great. London has over 26,000 corner shops in operation, which is actually greater than the number of available corners, forcing some shops into the centre of the road. This causes traffic jams and usually makes all their bread go stale.

Corner shops have a limited supply of products, but will always stock:

  • Cigarrettes. Usually have every brand available except the one you actually want, forcing you to hold the queue up while you desperatly try and pick something else.
  • Beer and other alcohol. Always wallet rapingly expensive, and yet you still choose to go there, rather than the infinetly cheaper supermarket down the road.
  • Magazines. Usually consists of an out of date copy of the Radio Times, and a litany of porn magazines.
  • Two loaves of bread. Always different brands. It is never explained why they only buy one loaf of each.
  • Milk. Sour.
  • Nurishment. Revolting milkshakey power drink thing that some people swear will cure a hangover. It doesn't.
  • Snacks. Everything to cure the munchies, from crisps to Maryland cookies.

Sadly, corner shops are facing extinction, due to the prolifiration of Budgens and Jacksons stores wherever humanity has colonized.
