As defending Champions, the Hurricanes hope to double their fanbase next year and hope that the recent additions of Granny and Gramps Waxton of Raleigh will put them within 50% of that goal. While they did sell out their final playoff games, this was only because fans were duped into thinking they were going to see a fight to the death between an inbred NASCAR driver and a vagrant hobo.
